Two great sites that discuss the importance of students athletes and programs to utilize as a coach or just as a person wanting to be more healthful. As a person working to be more holistically healthful, and a future coach, these websites offer very positive information.

A great blog to engage in specific discussion on government topics, offering assistance to folks with questions or problems as well.

If you haven’t seen the Comedy Channels coverage of the election process with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s sardonic humor, you are missing out. With wit and blunt honesty, they approach the political process with humor, which is sorely lacking within the mainstream press, especially considering the nature of the process itself.

The “History News Network” blog provided by George Mason University is a great means to look into new thoughts and idea’s on the developments in history. THough many consider the subject of history rather blase, this site offers great discussion that is quite interesting.

This is an excellent video which depicts events surrounding the Wounded Knee Massacre. This is emotional in discussing the treatment of the Sioux, and will offer new insight into how the United States pursued it's Indian Removal Policy.

An interactive site designed for the youngsters, ages up to 12, created to help navigate the U.S. government, with information for teachers also.

For the students who do not think learning history is exciting, a website that is interactive, interesting, and fun! Brought to us by the Library of Congress, the site has numerous links and helpful points for all ages.

Kathy Schrock’s Guide for Educators is a categorized list of sites useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth.

Kathleen Beck Schrock is the Administrator for Technology for the Nauset Public Schools on Cape Cod, MA. A large part of her job deals with infusing technology throughout the curriculum in all areas and at all grade levels. Previously a library media specialist, she is very interested in search strategies, evaluation of Internet information, copyright issues, emerging technologies and gadgets, and the use of technology as a tool to support instruction. Kathy recently served on the ISTE Board of Directors.
